WebTransporter is universal browser. It is developed for downloading the whole websites or its parts, and then work with them in off-line mode. It is possible because this software downloads files using HTTP protocol. Once you download the site, you won’t need to visit it every time in the Internet, as all information will be on your computer. At the same time the documents will be saved in such order that provides you quick and comfort work with this information. This program contains a lot of settings, which simplify and speed up the downloading process. Also there are service functions that allow the program work without user.
In addition, there is automatic Internet connection, work according to time-schedule and power down when the process is over. Also you can set the download parameters with the filter function. To preserve the data loss WebTransporter can automatically save the project file in specified interval. Moreover, WebTransporter can delete advertisement from the downloaded pages, look for e-mail addresses of the web sites, export downloaded pages in one CHM-file or pack it in ZIP-file. In summary, WebTransporter is a great tool for saving permanent copies of Web material for distribution, reference and off-line usage. |
